I'll be the first to admit that when I think of bareMinerals, I think of powder foundation. If you're anything like me, powder foundation just sounds like a nightmare. But this brand has some tricks up their sleeve, and they're found in these three products. If the rest of their makeup is this level of quality, I'm kissing my next paycheck good-bye. So let's get to it.
1. BareMinerals barePro Foundation
Oil-free. Non-comedogenic. Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist Tested. Sounds great, right? Well, it looks great, too. The bottle itself comes with one fluid ounce of product (the standard) and has a very thin formula. I preferred to apply it with a dense brush (using downward motions) for the most coverage, but using a damp sponge blends it well too. It has a natural finish, which makes it look and feel just like your own skin. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with dry skin as it may cling to dry patches, but for someone with normal skin like me (no dry patches, T-zone is not oily), it's an absolute dream.
2. BareMinerals bareSkin serum concealer
This concealer is EVERYTHING. Now this, I would recommend for everyone. Because it's a serum concealer, the formula is very smooth and easy to blend out. Wearing it over foundation or own it's own, it has a nice medium coverage and makes your skin look extremely healthy. If you have oily/combination skin, I would recommend setting it with a powder. If you have dry skin, then this concealer should feel like a drink of water after a day out in the sun! Having normal skin, I normally do not set it and it brings my face to life with a dewy finish.
3. BareMinerals GenNude Matte Liquid Lipstick
cassydaraiche
If you know me, then you know I love a good nude lip (preferable with cool/mauve undertones). With this collection, bareMinerals killed the shade range (not all are in the picture). I find myself swatching every single one in Sephora until I have no room on the back of my hand and the store tuns out of Q-tips to apply them. Although it's not completely transfer-proof like the Kat Von D or ColourPop liquid lipsticks, it has a comfortable matte formula which makes the application and the wear extremely bareable.
The best part about bareMinerals is that the brand is cruelty-free, meaning they do not test their products on animals, and many of their products are vegan, meaning none of their ingredients are made from animal or animal-derived ingredients. And guys, these three products have been on sale for quite a while now. I would imagine that their newer products would have even better quality. Now I can't attest to how well they hold up in humidity, as I have not yet tested them in the extreme South Carolina, but regardless, you need to get your hands on some of these goodies and stop sleeping on bareMinerals!
