Music is one of the universe’s most beautiful creations; it produces aesthetic pleasure, gives the world a sense of purpose and brings people together. The diversity of musical culture allows every person a sound they enjoy. Different music correlates with different moods whether you’re searching for something fun, peaceful or hardcore. No matter your thoughts or feelings, there are thousands of bands and artists out there who can relate to your story. Listed below are different common thoughts that bypass our minds and certain talented bands to listen to at those times in order to have the best experience possible.

“Wow, it’s a beautiful day” - Waking up to an unexpected, gorgeous day automatically calls for contentment. Stepping outside for the first time that morning and feeling both the cool breeze and the warm sun will make you feel alive and ready to take on the day. On car rides, especially, music that appropriately fits this mood is essential.

  • Cage The Elephant
  • All Time Low
  • Twenty One Pilots
  • Mayday Parade

“I can’t sleep” - Listening to slow, soothing music in the dark can put anyone to sleep. A piano and a soft voice will sing you to sleep better than your mother used to. Here are some excellent artists/groups to turn to when you’ve called it a night.

  • Oh Wonder
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Sam Smith
  • Secondhand Serenade

“Time for a good night” - Nothing gets the night going like the perfect “getting ready!” playlist. Putting on makeup and finding the right outfit while laughing with your best friends is even more fun when you’re dancing around the room at the same time.

  • The Chainsmokers
  • G-Easy
  • Drake
  • Calvin Harris

“There’s nothing wrong with singing in the shower” - If you’re too embarrassed to sing in the shower, you’re missing out. Nobody is listening, nobody is watching, and for some reason, everyone sounds like Beyonce in the shower. These female artists provide some of the best shower-singing songs.

  • Avril Lavigne
  • Beyonce
  • Rihanna
  • Adele

“I just want to lay right here forever” - Calming playlists are some of the best; whether you’re listening to music as you study, trying to wind down at the end of a busy day or simply staring at the ceiling, these artists will clear your mind and relax your soul.

“God is good” - Have you ever attended a church service that, for lack of a better phrase, rocked your world? The worship can continue even once you’ve left the chapel and pulled out of the parking lot - look up these Christian groups and belt out your praise.

  • Lauren Daigle
  • Chris Tomlin
  • Hillsong United
  • Carrie Underwood

“Let’s rage” - You can’t help it when you’re feeling angry, and there’s nothing wrong with listening to music that suits your mood. These bands fall under the alternative, metal, and… wait for it… screamo categories. They sing songs filled with not only rage, but passion.

  • Sleeping With Sirens
  • I See Stars
  • Get Scared
  • Pierce The Veil

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
