When you're an avid reader there comes a point where you can reach a readers block. You've read all the books you feel like interest you or maybe there's books on your list you just can't get yourself to pick up. Whatever it might be; there's always one type of book that brings me right back in the mood for a blanket and all nighter. Books with badass women, whether their villains or the heroes. So I have compiled a list of my favorite books written about badass women, for badass women.

1. "Gone Girl" By Gillian Flynn

Psychological thriller at it's best. Gillian Flynn is a mastermind when it comes to writting articles about women that are powerful. In this twisted tale, the lady is a little on the crazy side. Who can say no to her "Cool Girl" speech?

2. "Queen of the Tearling" By Erika Johansen

A fantasy tale woven about a young women with an ordinary appearance. Follow the trilogy before it hits the big screen starring Emma Watson.

3. "The Girl on the Train" By Paula Hawkins

Another psychological thriller that ends nothing like you think it will. You get so wrapped up in this story of three women that when it comes to the turning of events you just want to say wtf.

4. "Yes Please" By Amy Poehler

Who doesn't like a good laugh? Amy Poehler is a star when it comes to comedy. Her autobiography hits the punchline every time.

5. "The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo" By Amy Schumer

Let me start by saying that I am completely biased when it comes to Amy, she's my home girl. Her book is perfect in every way. Not only do laugh out loud the whole time, but you also finish her book knowing that she's just one funny gal.

6. "Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea" By Chelsea Handler

WHO DOESN'T LOVE CHELSEA HANDLER?! If you love short stories about drinking and awful sex-capades, there's no where better to turn.

7. "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" By Cheryl Strayed

After losing someone close to her the main character of this story starts on a major journey. Within herself and physically. As she treks the Pacific Crest Trail she tackles issues that all women struggle with.

8. "Sharp Objects" By Gillian Flynn

Okay, maybe every book Gillian Flynn has written should just be on this list. They are all great. They all feature badass women. GO READ HER STUFF.

9. "The Discovery of Witches" By Deborah Harkness

A great Fantasy novel to get sucked into. Deborah Harkness includes romance, and many women you can't help but love.

10. "Misery" By Stephen King

Alright, so the woman in this story is absolutely insane. But if you say that she isn't interesting and entertaining to read about, I know you'd be lying.

Whatever you might be looking for, there is sure to be something listed that you could fall in love with. All the characters in these stories have something relatable to us all.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
