Yes, you know who you are (or you may not). I'm calling you out today. I've had many a choice word I have wanted to scream out from behind the steering wheel. However, instead of doing that, I'm writing this little piece for everyone else out there who encounters bad drivers.
Oh, of course, go ahead and cut me off just to turn. You know, I am sure that where you are needing to go is much more important than anywhere I need to be. When you brake abruptly just to turn onto that street you cut me off for, know that I will literally stop everything I am doing just so you can be on your jolly way.
If only I had telepathy. Oh wait, I don't! Because I'm human! If I had those magical powers only then would I know that you were thinking the whole time to move into my lane. Unfortunately, I am not able to predict your lane changing. All I see is a car quickly moving towards me. You are in luck! There is this invention called a "turn signal." It's really great. You should use it sometime.
I know that when you park smack dab in the middle of two parking spots, you are just trying to protect your car. Not that it matters there are absolutely no other spots available! You are simply looking out for your car. Protecting it from the dangers of the world. You are creating a "cushion of protection" that no one dare invade.
Constant accelerating and braking make for such a smoother ride. You (the driver in front of me) probably have no idea where you are going (or are very "brake happy"), but I am at the mercy of your constant stopping. I will continue to get whiplash as you decide on your 10th stop by now.
Finally, my all-time favorite. Tailgating. I am going the speed limit (and sometimes slightly exceeding it), but you feel like that is simply not enough. It's quite interesting to see every feature of your face from my rearview mirror because you're are that close to my car. You know, you can back a foot away, it's okay if our cars have a little space between them.
I have restrained myself from yelling out of my window during these situations. You test my patience on a whole other level. You will forever be known in my mind as "The Bad Driver."
