While a lot of our lives bring so much to the table, sometimes it is important to evaluate yourself on where you are currently standing to motivate yourself to keep going. So take a moment and just breathe. Our lives can be so busy with school, friends, occupations, clubs, family, Netflix or Instagramming, but sometimes we as people let this all get the best of us. We start to become overwhelmed by all of the things we have on our plate. While most of our plates only have enough divisions to count on one hand, it is actually possible to create more divisions to gain more experiences and to make new memories. We are not like cars--when cars run out of gas they can no longer move forward. No matter how much you sing to it, talk to it, yell at it, the car will still go nowhere on an empty tank. We, as humans, have the capability to work miracles, we can be motivated by others, even ourselves, we have food, we have love, we have compassion and care, these are the things that sometimes are overlooked in our busy lives, and it’s important to take moments to appreciate them.

If you are have a bad week, don’t let this stop you from enjoying yourself. Instead, let it motivate you. You’re probably wondering how a bad week can be motivating, right? Well it’s actually quite simple. Don’t get down, stay happy--because when someone lets their bad emotions take over it is a barricade to successfulness to turn the week around. It important to mentally accept that this week is no longer bad just because of one situation. Then take a moment and remember all the people that are in your life, your best friends, your family, your mother or father and anyone else that has significant meaning to you and all of the things that they have done for you. Remember specific moments or conversations that made you feel good. Once you have those in your head, start to build yourself up. Think about all the things you did this week that have made you more successful, maybe helping your best friend, going to work, making an A on a test, waking up in the morning, someone telling you thank-you, even as simple as getting one hundred Instagram likes. You did those things-- this is why your week is going better than anyone else’s.

By doing this every so often, it’s easy to let yourself clean out your mind of all the negativity that has built up over time. This helps you not act out in spite of negativity, but instead lets you act out in a clear and calm state of mind. It helps you create room for more time management to create more divisions on your plate. Being able to add in new and more exciting things to your days is the best way to feel good. It gives you something to look forward to and lets you continue to learn. It’s also super important to pass these things on to other people and make sure to help others when they aren’t doing so hot. Consideration for other people not only helps others but it adds positivity to yourself. With all of these things said, let it remind yourself every time something isn’t going your way or as planned to clear your mind and turn the situation into something more positive and remember you can always do more than you think.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
