Will You Define Bad Days Or Let Them Define You?

Bad days don't mean that the world is against you or you did something wrong, it's just a part of life.

Will You Define Bad Days Or Let Them Define You?
Meredith Weatherford

We've all had bad days where our first thought is, "What did I do to deserve this?", "Why is this happening to me?" or "Why does the world hate me?". Plot twist: You didn't do anything to deserve this, there is no sole reason why it is happening to you, and the world does not hate you.

Life is filled with many bad days and everyone faces them; the thing that matters is what you do with your bad days. You can let your bad days define you, or you can define your bad days. I'm someone who has always struggled with letting my bad days get to me and ruin what could be a perfectly good day.

Overcoming the bad days and making them better is something I'm trying to teach myself how to do. Don't let a bad situation determine how your day is going to go. Imagine if one bad situation happened at the very beginning of your day and you let that determine how the rest of your day would go; your day would suck because you have already said that with your reaction to the certain situation.

Flip that same situation and instead of reacting that way you stop, take a second to breathe, look that situation in the face and tell it that it won't define you and you will have a good day; your day will be better because your response and attitude are good and you have defined the day, not the other way around. When you allow something to determine your day and create a bad day, you could be missing out on what was supposed to be a really good day.

Don't miss out on any more good days; conquer those bad days and make them yours.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
