If You're Having A Bad Day, Read Me
Magic 4 Walls

It seems like this time of the year bad days happen more often than they should. I am guilty of letting little things bother me. The little things build up and instantly ruin my day. But there's a lot of good things you may not realize when you are down in the dumps. There are so many more beautiful things in your life that you are ignoring because of the bad things that are going on in your life. Here are a few examples:

1. You are loved.

By your friends and family, they love you unconditionally. Maybe they caused your bad day, just remember at the end of the day they love you unconditionally just as you love them back.

2. You are important.

I am guilty of feeling like I don't matter to anyone. This is wrong. You are important. Your message, your life, and what you do with it matter. It may be hard to believe because you may not get recognition for things you deserve, but everything you do is important and means something.

3. You are strong.

On your worst the only thing you can do is move forward and learn from situation. It's okay to be sad, but what you learn from each situation makes you who you are and stronger everyday.

4. You are beautiful.

Inside and out, you are beautiful. Remember the good you do and the smiles you bring to people. That's what beauty is. Being able to touch people's lives and make their days by the simplest actions.

5. You are making a difference.

Success doesn't happen over night. It may seem like you are making as much progress as you want, but just remember good things take time. You may fail, but you what learn from that moment will define you as a person.

6. You deserve to be happy.

Let the bad things go and focus on the things that make you smile and who you are. Life is too short to let the negative aspects of your life control how you feel and live your life.

7. The sun will rise.

It may seem like your world is collapsing in front of your eyes, but it's not. Just a bump in the road. Don't lose sight of your goals or who you are.

Smile, everything is going to be okay <3

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that.
