10 Horrible Things To Do On A First Date

Everyone has first dates, it can be awkward or it can be the beginning of a lifelong relationship. Either way, first dates are a learning experience. However, I'm here to help, this is what you should NOT do on a first date.

1. Arrive Late

It's true when they say first impressions mean everything, start getting ready early. In fact. arrive earlier than necessary, it gives you time to get mentally prepare.

2. Dine and Ditch

I'm pretty sure your waitress and your date won't appreciate you skipping out on your meal.

3. Lie

Everyone knows the truth will eventually come to the light, so just be straight forward.

4. Double Book

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, book two dates on the same night a couple hours a part from each other.

5. Flaunt

No one likes a show off. #MajorTurnOff

6. Check Out Other Girls/Guys

Hello? You're already on a date with someone, hold the roaming eyes until after the date is over.

7. Go Above Your Budget

Do not let Beyonce allow you to think you can afford Red Lobster on a McDonald's budget.

8. Get Drunk

This should be obvious, save the drunk rants until date number three, or until they become bae.

9. Steal

No one likes a thief, so try to keep the sticky fingers to yourself.

10. Bring Friends

Having a lot of friends around defeats the purpose of having a first date. It is highly unlikely to get to know your date with a table full of people.

There you have it, just a few things that should not happen on a first date. Don't lie, steal or let your date know that you are a cheater by looking at all the hot people walking by. Bad first dates are always a great story to look back on!

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
