When starting a new health kick, many people like to go full force and change absolutely everything they can in order to change their health for the better.
We go from eating fast food to eating nothing but meat and vegetables, from drinking coffee every day to only downing water, from watching Netflix after work to going and hitting the gym six days a week.
We tend to jump in with both feet and quickly lose momentum anytime we attempt to improve our health. This is because we assume we must follow an intense standard to maintain basic health, but this is far from the truth.
In reality, we should only make one or two changes at a time. By starting with replacing soda with water or not eating fast food every day of the week you can see an immediate change in your mood and body. Slow and steady may not win the race, but it definitely leads to a more long lasting outcome.
