It's that time of year again when it's still summer but you're paying for textbooks, walking into class dripping in sweat, and drowning in syllabi. Before you know it school will be in full swing and you'll have never-ending work to do. As you set out to conquer each of your classes there's some thoughts that might run through your head as you walk through campus:

1. Wow. Look at the time. I am so going to be late for class. Maybe I should go get coffee. The professor so won't notice.

2. I am so hungry. I need to walk fast I cannot wait in a thirty minute line for a sandwich.

3. I didn't walk fast enough. My sandwich is moldy. Omg I'm going to be late for class again?

4. Did we have an assignment due? Did I do that...I guess I'll find out when I get to class.

5. I need to call my mom. I miss my dog. Crap, I left my laundry in the washer. I hope my clothes are okay.

6. How is she wearing a dress to class? I didn't even brush my hair. I hope people didn't notice the piece of lettuce stuck in my teeth.

7. It's only Monday. That just means four more days until the weekend. I can totally do this.

8. Was I supposed to meet with them for lunch today? Guess I'll try again tomorrow...

9. I really hope I locked the door at the apartment... I think I did...

10. Why is it so hot? It's only the 2nd week of school. I can't do this. Totally just going to travel.

11. I forgot... I am way too broke to travel.

12. I. Need. Coffee.

13. Why am I the only one that doesn't have my life together?

14. I totally just lost my planner... what classroom was I in last?

15. Okay well at least I'm not wearing pajamas to class.

16. When can I go back to preschool?

17. I just want to go sleep... guess I'll have to wait until December for that.

18. It'd be really nice if the WiFi could for ten seconds so I could post this.

19. When is graduation again? I can't handle one more assignment.

20. I don't understand how everyone else does it... or do they?

21. Should I switch majors? Am I even doing the right thing with my life? I heard doctors make a lot of money...

22. I'm just going to call my mom and cry.

Good luck to all with a great school year that is hopefully less dramatic than this list!!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
