Fitness is one of those things that you're either super into or you completely overlook. I have phases where I'm super into working out and eating healthy, and then suddenly I miss a day or two and I go back to eating family-sized bags of chips. The key to anything in life is consistency. Once you start something, you gotta stay consistent with it. And trust me, I get it. Constantly working out and having to avoid your favorite junk food is not easy at all, but it is SO worth. Not only physically, but you feel so much better mentally. We all have our cheat days, but what's important is that you remember your goals. Here are some tips on how to get back into the fit life for when you start getting lazy.

Make the gym a part of your everyday life

Working out before you start a busy day is the BEST feeling ever. If getting up early isn't your thing, try hitting the gym at the end of your day. Regardless of when you go, working out for at least 30 minutes a day will instantly improve your mood and even your quality of life. Remember, it only takes 10 days to form a habit.

Make healthier choices

Swap your favorite junk food for some healthier alternatives. Coming from an avid potato chip lover, I know hard this can be. However, your body will thank you. And hey, you are what you eat!

Find a workout buddy

Everything's better with a friend, even your dreaded workout! Let's be real, working out can get boring. It's great to have someone push you and keep yourself motivated.

Make goals for yourself

You can't get anything done in life without a set of goals. Knowing what you want to achieve/ having an end goal will help you stay on track. Whether you want to lose weight, tone your body, or just keep your body healthy, having a set of goals will keep you motivated.

Take a workout class

Like I said, working out can get boring. Try taking a class! Whether it be Zumba or whatever else your gym offers, classes are super fun and help build your stamina. These classes target all the major areas of your body and are a great way to get a full body workout.

Go shopping!

What does shopping have to do with getting fit? I don't know about you guys, but I feel much more motivated to work out when I like my outfit. So head over to mall and get some workout gear! Working out is much more fun when you have a cute workout outfit to go with it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
