Fashion is not everybody’s favorite thing. Some people could care less what clothes they wear, some have a sense of style down to a science, some like to experiment and some don’t. Everyone is different. We all fall on a spectrum but there is no denying finding your sense of style is hard. Factors such as price questions like: where to go? What exactly to buy? What does it go with?

Well, I am here to help. Now do not get me wrong, I am the girl who is a t-shirt, running shorts, and Nikes all day and every day. Years of sports and athletics made me really not worry about my fashion sense. As I get older, and I am becoming an adult more and more every day I have come to the realization that I need to branch out. Step out of my comfort zone, and establish a sense of fashion that I love and am comfortable with.

If you are in the same situation, I know the question you are asking. Where do you start?

We start with the basics.

When Buying Something, Always Ask the Important Questions

Will I wear this? When will I wear this? What will I wear this with?

You should always ask these questions when purchasing a new clothing item, splurging at the mall. If you buy it and never wear it, you are throwing money away! No need for that. Always think of how that item could build your wardrobe. I am guilty of buying random items thinking I will wear them, and then they never see the light only to find it months later. So, next time just imagine yourself wearing it, try it on, think of a few outfits that will work perfectly, and don't forget to treat yourself. This will help you build up your wardrobe and even create and add more outfits than what you had before.

Shop at Affordable Places That Have Many Styles

Finding stores that have more than one style of clothes is hard these days. Some stores only have one which makes it hard to look and compare everything in person and next to each other. Stores like Forever 21, H&M, American Eagle, Old Navy, Gap and Express have a variety of colors, patterns and designs. They especially have the basics ranging from clothes all the way to shoes and accessories. Much easier, affordable, and fulfilling shopping experiences when going to these stores. A one-stop shop for all your needs!

Go With the Classics

This is one of the most key points in fashion whatever style or a look you are striving for. If you keep classics in your closet, you have limitless options ahead of you. A white t-shirt, regular black and denim jeans, leather and denim jacket. For men, simple suit items, plain t-shirts, boots, well fitting jeans, flannel, dress shirts. For women, little black dress, pendant necklace, jeans, sandals, flats and even some boots. Simple fashion staples like this will always come in handy when you are stuck with an outfit. A go to for a simple night out, hanging out with friends, a dinner, bowling, a movie even. Perfect for anything and everything.

Surprise Yourself and Have Fun With it

You do not have to limit yourself with your style. Fashion is an art, a way to express yourself. You can be as creative and as carefree as you want. You are unstoppable in your own creative way. Let yourself be who you want to be, that is the best thing you can do for your fashion sense. If you wear it confidently.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
