Bachelorette of the Week: Susanna Southern

Meet Susanna "Sassy" Southern. She is the Leighton Meester of Oxford and is searching for her Chuck Bass. Xoxo, you know you love her.

Name: Susanna Southern
Hometown: Jackson, MS
Major: Managerial Finance
Year: Senior
Sorority: Delta Delta Delta (I'm the House Marshall, ha)

1. If you were a drink, what would you be?
A cosmopolitan because it's pink, a.k.a. the best color, and it's pretty.

2. What would the title of your memoir be?
"The Life of Sassy: A Jackson tennis mom thriving in New York City"

3. Who is your celebrity crush and why?
Chuck Bass, duh. He's Chuck Bass.

4. What is your dream date?
My dream date would definitely be on the top of the Empire State Building. (Am I talking too much about Gossip Girl?)

5. What is your favorite song and why?
"Fabulous" from High School Musical. If I wasn't myself or Blair Waldorf, I would be Sharpay.

6. If you could identify with a movie/TV character, who would it be and why?
Blair Waldorf: who wouldn't want to be the Queen of the Upper East Side?

7. What is your nickname? Explain how you acquired it.
Sassy. Honestly I'm not even sure how it started, but I also don't remember a time that I wasn't called Sassy.

8. What was the first concert you went to?
NSYNC*

9. Tell me about one of your most embarrassing moments.
I slipped down the Sigma Nu stairs as a senior in high school. I literally slipped on the first step and fell all the way down to the bottom. It's fine.

10. What is your dream job?
My dream job is to work in the finance department of a makeup company. I interned at Tarte this summer in New York and I was in job heaven.

11. What is your best tweet? Best Instagram?
I can't pick between two tweets... is that a problem? "All of my friends are talking about graduation and I'm just like lol still don't have a major - funny because that was like 3 days ago" and, "My boss just ran in the office and said, alright everyone, conference room 5 minutes. Michael Scott, is that you?" I think my best Instagram is a selfie of me and Leighton Meester from New York. I only went to the stage door of "Of Mice and Men" like, everyday.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
