Hello Bachelor Nation.
This past week was one for the books. Wells finally landed his first kiss (though Jojo still made the first move, let’s be honest) and then was promptly sent home. For the first time ever, there was a second two-on-one date which are always weird, but the dancing seemed to multiply the awkward if that’s even possible. Finally, there were those hella stressful three minutes during the rose ceremony where Jojo rushed outside to confess to the real MVP, Chris Harrison, that she just could not give out that final rose. Meanwhile, we were all biting our nails, trying to understand how she couldn’t choose between Alex and adorable teddy bear/songwriter James Taylor. But never fear, Jojo and Chris Harrison returned with not one but two roses, so no one had to go home after all. Whew. What a show.
Before I launch into my predictions, I just want to say how much I adore Jojo. She’s gorgeous, an absolute sweetheart, and has handled this whole “dating 25 men at the same time” with grace. Even on the first night, she never once seemed to “tolerate” any of the guys’ crazy antics. She embraced them and went out of her way to make each guy feel welcome and comfortable. I would go as far as to say she may be one of the best bachelorettes ever. Keeping all that in mind, I do not agree with her taste in men. She mentioned before that she always went after the bad boys, but being with a nice guy like Ben revealed a whole other spectrum of man candy. Or so she said. Unfortunately, it looks like she’s back to the cocky, super-athletic, “hard to get” kind of man. With the exception of James Taylor and Luke, all of the guys seem to fit this description.
Speaking of James Taylor, whom I will dub JT, I want to establish that he is by far my favorite. He seems the most down to earth, looks like an absolute blast to be with (did you see their swing dancing date??), and definitely has a way with words. He did lose some cool points when he used his one-on-one time with Jojo to talk about Jordan, but I still love him. Sadly, he doesn’t really seem to fit Jojo’s type so I imagine he will be going home this week, much to my dismay.
With that in mind, here are my predictions for Bachelorette 2016.
4. Robby
Even though Robby is part of the so-called Mean Girls Club, I really like him, and I think Jojo does too. He made us all tear up a little when he told us that story of his best friend’s death, and how it made him realize he needed to jump when opportunity called. Not to mention, he was the first to say the big three words to Jojo.
3. Luke
My favorite after JT. He’s sweet, Southern, and definitely not hard on the eyes. The passion between Luke and Jojo is thick enough to cut with a knife. Every time I see them kiss, I’m half expecting them to pull a Nick and Kaitlyn and dart off to the nearest hotel room. I would love to see Luke win, but I do feel that he’s a little too serious for Jojo.
2. Jordan
Jordan has been the notable front runner for a long time. There’s been a lot of signs hinting that Jojo’s head over heels for the former football player, but what sticks out most to me is her constant worry that she likes him more than he likes her. I have no doubt that Jojo cares for all of the guys left, but she seems genuinely afraid of losing Jordan (and Chase), which in my opinion shows where her heart really is. However, I do think Jordan is sketchy. I got the entitled vibe JT mentioned from the very beginning, and I really, really don’t like the way he reacts when Jojo tries to bring up something someone else has said about him. Something about him seems off which is why I think he’s the one betraying Jojo’s trust in the season finale.
1. Chase
Honestly, Chase never really stood out to me. He and Jojo have had some cute moments, but so have most of the guys. However, on this past week’s two-on-one, Jojo pulled out the “I feel like I like you more than you like me” card usually reserved for Jordan. Jojo may like her bad boys, but deep down I think she is a good person and will see through Jordan’s act. When she does, I have a feeling Chase will be there to break the fall… and take home that final rose.
