This week's bachelor hails from Deerfield, Illinois. Though he's busy double majoring in Business & Marketing Education and Jewish Studies with a Hebrew minor, this Hillel President will whip up a fresh meal and sweep you off your feet. Introducing, Sigma Alpha Mu's Dylan Singer!

How did you spend Valentine’s day last week? With a glass of wine and a bubble bath of course.

By myself. Without the wine. Or the bubble bath. So basically I did nothing. Did you know they sell half-priced candy the next day?

What are you most proud of?

When I was 17 years old I made a list of all of my favorite physical features. My icy blue eyes were at the top of the list. So I guess you could say I’m most proud of my parents for blessing me with unusually stunning irises.

What’s your biggest fear?

Imagine this: it’s a sunny day on the Savannah and you’re a gazelle, or perhaps even a giraffe. You’re parched from a day of skipping and dancing around with your gazelle and/or giraffe friends so you take a trip to the local watering hole. You bend down and let the cool water cascade across your dry tongue. It feels as if the gazelle and/or giraffe gods are speaking to you in the form of a liquid refreshment. And then it happens. Without caution, without warning, you're staring into the sky as you recede into the waters that once nourished you. Before you draw your last breath, you have just a moment to stare into the beady eyes of the creature who will claim you as it’s claimed so many of your friends before. Crocodiles. My biggest fear. Also stubbing my toe is pretty scary.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

When I was 6, I was a child model in several TV commercials, radio, and a magazine. If anyone would like to see this continue, make sure to let me know soon because I am in the market for a job.

If you could have anyone play the role of you in a movie who would it be?

Jonah Hill. People say I sound like him and could you imagine him with ginger hair?

What’s the best thing about being President of Hillel?

That Sophie Stillman is the Vice President. She’s a catch.

You can’t live without _______________ .

Spinach and artichoke dip.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to read minds. I can’t begin to imagine how useful that would be.

Rumor is you can cook – what is your favorite meal to dish up?

Homemade pizza is one of my favorites. Pro tip: Whole Foods has the best dough.

What is your favorite thing about Spring semester at the U?

60 degree weather in February. Duh!

What’s your favorite food?

I’d go for any type of sushi. Although, I did try a “sushirito” recently and it wasn’t for me. Don’t mess with the classics.

Your friends say you look identical to your brother, how can a potential bachelorette be sure it’s you?

If he’s wearing Birkenstocks with socks, it’s not me.

Know someone that would make a great bachelor or bachelorette of the week? What are you waiting for – nominate them here!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
