After watching one episode of The Bachelor or Bachelorette it become extremely apparent that the show has coined their fair share of phrases. For some of us, this can make watching the show very confusing. But, have no fear! I have conjured up some on the most used Bachelor terms, so you no longer have to feel confused. Think of it as your own personal 'Bachelor Dictionary'.

1. "Rose ceremony"

At the end of every episode there is a long awaited rose ceremony. This is when the bachelor or bachelorette gives roses to who ‘they can see a real future with’.

2. "The final rose of the night"

The point at every rose ceremony where the remaining women (without a rose) break a sweat and begin to panic, in fear of getting sent home. Despite the fact they all can clearly see it, Chris Harrison comes out and remind everyone the final rose is about to be given out.

3. "The right reasons"

A term thrown around, at the very least once, each episode. Usually used by a girl/guy in the interviews when asked about someone who seems in genuine and is not popular in the house.

4. "One-on-one"

As you probably guessed, a one on one date is a treasured occasion when the bachelor or bachelorette picks one person to go on a date for the entire day. At the end of the date a rose is presented giving the lead the option to keep the person around or get rid of them for good.

5. "Two-on-one"

Basically, it's a way for producers to beef up the drama and cut down the number of girls all at once. A two on one usually consists of two girls/guys who have the biggest conflict with each other and the lucky bachelor/bachelorette.

6. "Group date"

You guessed it, a date where there are a group of women (about 5-12 women). Group dates usually involve some type of activity or competition. The night ends with an after party where the contestants can finally get a moment alone with the star of the show.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
