When you think of the shows under Bachelor Nation, like "The Bachelor", and "The Bachelorette", you'd think since it's people on a journey to find a wife/husband, it has to work out, right?? HA, nope. With over 20 seasons combined of the two shows, the reality of these shows is that most of the time, the person the Bachelor/Bachelorette chooses usually doesn't work out. Some of them have worked out, like the ones I'm about to list, but the list of couples that did work out isn't as long as the list of couples that didn't work out. Here are some of those people who met through Bachelor Nation and are either engaged, married, or still dating!

1. Rachel Lindsay & Bryan Abasolo ("The Bachelorette" season 13)

After being blindsided by Bachelor Nick Viall in season 21, Rachel was chosen as the first black Bachelorette for season 13! Despite loving both men, Rachel ended up choosing Miami native & chiropractor Bryan Abasolo and they plan to be married by 2019! For now, they are taking it slow and traveling together! They were even featured on an episode of this season's "The Bachelorette"!

2. Carly Waddell & Evan Bass ("Bachelor in Paradise" season 3)

Carly Waddell from "The Bachelor" season 19 and Evan Bass from "The Bachelorette" season 12 met on the third season of the spin-off show "Bachelor in Paradise", where contestants from "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" who had their hearts broken on their seasons go on an island to find love in a more relaxed setting and on their own pace. Carly and Evan had a rough start, but by the end of the show they were engaged! In season 4 of "Bachelor in Paradise", their wedding was featured in an episode and in February 2018 they even had a baby girl together!

3. JoJo Fletcher & Jordan Rodgers ("The Bachelorette" season 12)

They say that the bachelorette usually knows where they're heart is at more than the bachelor does, and JoJo is no exception to this! Jordan was the first recipient of the first impression rose on season 12 of "The Bachelorette", and at the end they were engaged! JoJo and Jordan have no date for a wedding yet, they've been taking it slow, but they have been talking about baby fever!

4. Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Boothe ("The Bachelorette" season 11)

It was definitely love at first sight for these two when Shawn first stepped out of that limo, and it was no surprise when Kaitlyn accepted his proposal in the season finale! The laid-back couple lives in Nashville & have no set plans for a wedding date just yet! They're taking life one day at a time.

5. Desiree Hartstock & Chris Siegfried ("The Bachelorette" season 9)

After having a rocky journey to love, Desiree and Chris ended the season being proposed, and later married in January 2015! They had a sweet baby boy in October 2016 and it has been clear skies and sunshine for them!

6. Ashley Herbert & J.P. Rosenbaum ("The Bachelorette" season 7)

Season 7 ended perfectly with their engagement, as fans hoped would happen! Ashley and J.P. are one of the fan favorites of how a Bachelor couple should be. The two married in December 2012 and they have two kids together. How better can they get?

I wish that more couples could work out in "Bachelor Nation", but hey, what more can you expect from a show that throws a person into a house to date 30 people at once with expectations of finding one to be engaged to at the end? Let's just hope the luck continues with current Bachelorette Becca!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
