Colton is famous for being a virgin on Becca Kurfrin's season of the Bachelorette and he also made an appearance on "The Bachelor In Paradise." While on this show they also used his virginity to create way too much of a storyline.
I'm sorry but being a virgin does not make you a unicorn. Being a virgin isn't even something that deserves any kind of national attention. I understand he wants to find love, but we all do. And we all do not go on THREE different dating shows to find it. It is easy to meet potential partners. I do not need to go on a THREE different dating shows to find the love of my life while millions of people watch.
The Bachelor Franchise is exploiting the fact that Colton is one of the few people that actually talked about being a virgin on national television. I know tons of people that are saving themselves for marriage and those people don't even get a second look when it comes up in conversation.
Colton has a beautiful non-profit organization that helps people with Cystic Fibrosis but that has been mentioned for less than a minute on all of the shows he's appeared on.
When did tv become more about someone's sex life than the good they do in there personal life? I'm tired of the fact that Colton isn't being recognized for the work he's with his non-profit. His foundation has helped hundreds of children get treatment when they can't afford it.
For those of you who want to support the foundation, here is the link: http://www.coltonslegacy.org/
I'm not sorry when I say I am not happy about Colton being the Bachelor, but I hope the focus more on what he does and who he is then his virginity.
