I feel like the popular baby names just seem to get unique with every passing year and as more Millennials have babies. And let's be honest, saying "unique" is putting it in a nice way because the names are just weird. But I have compiled a list of baby names that are sadly going to happen in 2017.
Boys:
1. Dex
2. Maddox
3. Xander
4. Zaydon (it's a weird combo of Aiden and Zayn?)
5. Zion (like the mountain really??)
6. Exton (spelled exactly like the gas station)
7. Lazer (really... it's an object people)
Girls:
1. Zen (what is this yoga people?)
2. Zalika
3. Zahara (almost like the Sahara Desert...)
4. Xena (sure it's a cute animal name but not for a human...)
Unisex:
1. Shine (can you really picture this with a boy???)
2. Finley
Colors:
Because of Beyonce naming her child Blue Ivy, naming your child after a color has become a hugely popular thing to do for some reason. But here are the most common colors to name your child:
1. Indigo
2. Slate
3. Grey
4. Olive
5. Ebony
6. Aqua
7. Azure (never even heard of this color)
8. Emerald
9. Hazel
10. Silver
11. Fuschia
12. Coral
13. Topaz
I know it is obviously up to the parents to decide what they are going to name their child, but try to at least give them a normal name or at least a normal middle name so they can at least have one normal name to go by. And I honestly feel bad for future teachers for having to call their students some of these names. And also keep one thing in mind: your child will probably not be able to find their name on one of those cool souvenirs and they will have to live with that for the rest of their life.
However, by the time all of these kids get to school, they will probably not be looked at as weird names because all of the other children will have odd names. But you still might want to stick with some names that are not objects or colors, or just odd spelling.
