The sixth season of the highly successful TV series “Game of Thrones” concluded earlier this past summer, and viewers will have to wait a whole other year for the seventh season to debut in summer 2017.
Surely, until then, avid fans will use that time to cherish the over abundances of heroics that transpired on the season finale of HBO’s epic fantasy series. Without any spoilers, viewers are most certainly not used to the light of justice shedding down on the Game of Thrones story-lines like it did at the end of season six.
However, knowing the wicked mind of George R.R. Martin, I’m sure the justness our heroes fought for will soon be yanked out of their hands by the characters we have grown to loathe. Here are three of the worst scenarios that our favorite characters could endure.
1. Jon Snow becomes a White Walker
Jon Snow has spent the better part of his tenure as a member of The Knights Watch fighting The White Walkers. As Lord Commander, he relentlessly fought for the Wildlings’ safe passage through The Wall in exchange for their hand in battle against the 'undead.' In the process of recruiting the warriors beyond the wall, he slayed a White Walker with his valerian sword at the Battle of Hardhome. Even after Jon Snow recaptured Winterfell, he pleaded for the Northerners and the Wildlings to live among each other and fight together when the time comes. Wouldn’t it fall right inline with the world of Game of Thrones for someone as noble and honest as Jon Snow to become one of the leaders of the 'undead' he’s fought so hard to destroy?
2. Sansa Stark is pregnant with Ramsay’s child
We were all treated to the glorious death of Ramsay Bolton at the end of season six. The twisted Lord had starved his hounds for seven days in preparation for the capture of Jon Snow. However, the decision back-fired as he was the one who was strapped down to a chair, after losing Winterfell, and having his own dogs rip and tear his flesh down to the bone. But before his exceedingly satisfying demise, Ramsay made a remark to Sansa, the oldest Stark daughter who he raped and tortured for sport. “You can’t kill me, I’m apart of you now.” Ramsay could be referring to the continuous abuse Sansa endured as his wife, but he very well could be referring to something much more literal and terrifying; her pregnancy.
3. The White Walkers break down The Wall—Because of Bran
While Bran Stark was learning the ways of the Three-eyed Raven, he grew impatient as he began to learn more and more about his father’s past. An irritated Bran decided to act on his own accord one night. However, instead of traveling back in time to his father, he awoke in a sea of the 'undead.' In this vision, the Night King touched Bran’s hand, which evidently allowed the White Walker’s into the Heart Tree. Now, after the killing of the Three-eyed Raven, Bran has discovered the true heritage of Jon Snow and must travel back to The Wall to spread the news. Throughout the show, Various characters have said that The Wall is made of certain magic that keeps the White Walkers out, but what happens if Bran and his mark cross the gates of The Wall?
