Halloween is not just about candy. Sure, when you go trick-or-treating you only get candy (or, in rare instances, tricks). But what about when you are at home? Do you really only dig into a bucket of chocolate and lollipops?

I personally enjoy actual treats and not just candy, though I still love candy. I'm a chocoholic, after all. Even if I do not actually bake anything or buy anything, I enjoy looking at cool pictures online. Who doesn't nowadays?

After surfing the Internet, I found some very creative and delicious-looking desserts you should give a try or at least consider, especially if you are having a get-together or party. They are below along with links to their recipes.

1. Mummy cocktail weenies.

These are cocktail wienies made to look like mummies just using the dough.

2. Pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispies.

No, these are not just dyed orange. The Krispy itself is rounded just like a pumpkin!

3. Pull-apart graveyard cupcakes.

The tops of the cupcakes are melded together to look like a graveyard, complete with graves and ghosts.

4. Mason jar cakes.

You can make them look like mummies, Frankenstein, pumpkins, whatever is ghoulish! The ones found in the link next to this show ones that look like pumpkin, Frankenstein, and a mummy. The jars themselves are decorated and the actual cakes are dyed, then you just use the right-colored frosting.

5. Last, but not least, the fall cookie cake.

It is basically a cookie pie covered in chocolate chips, spirals of white frosting, and candy corn. It is the ultimate sugar overload.

Of course I discovered a LOT more but the above are my personal top picks. Perhaps you should put your baking skills to the test. Even if you do not measure up to Cake Boss, it would be fun to try. It's a good way to get in the Halloween spirit.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
