April Fool's Day is the best and the worst for two reasons. It's either you are the prankster or the prankee. Clearly one is better than the other, I don't feel like I have to explain that part. If you're like me, you are the youngest in your family with two older siblings that pretty much made you the butt of their jokes growing up. That is, until you learned to fight back the smart way.

I used to get in trouble for physically fighting with my siblings, calling them names, etc. and I would get in trouble for all of that because it would usually be my fault. But there was always one loophole that always let me get away with messing with them, and that is April Fool's Day. Oh, I was a master. Taking all of their clothes and hiding them, pouring a cup of ice water on them while they showered, you know the works. That would always get me a get out of jail free card.

And as fun as those pranks were while they lasted, there was always some retaliation to come. I'm here to tell you how to avoid getting pranked back.

1. Always, and I mean always, close whatever door you're nearest.

This is crucial; you can have a few seconds to run if they burst in the door. Also, if you are in a room without a door? GO GET IN A ROOM WITH A DOOR.

2. Lock your bedroom/bathroom doors.

This is pretty obvious. They can't get in if there is a lock.

3. Stock up on snacks and water a few days before you prank then never leave your room.

Trust me, they will be waiting for you to go to the kitchen.

4. Watch your back.

If you have to leave your room for whatever reason, just do a quick survey of the room you are about to go into.

And if you do happen to get caught by a sibling/prank victim, then best of luck to you.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
