1. Order a PSL

Screw the haters. You order that PSL and you embrace every divine moment of it. It only happens once a year, just live your best life and accept the inevitable "basic white girl" label.

2. Go to a football game

3. Have a bonfire

4. Make homemade hot chocolate

Check out this quick and easy recipe from All Recipes. A little time and effort make all the difference in a cup of creamy hot cocoa when compared to packets of Swiss Miss.

5. Go apple picking

6. Have a scary movie marathon

7. Go through a haunted house

8. Take a nature walk

9. Do a corn maze

10. Knit a scarf

Step one: learn to knit.

11. Bake cookies from scratch

You can never go wrong with this classic recipe for Nestle Toll House chocolate chip cookies.

12. Alternatively, bake those delectable boxed Pillsbury cookies

13. Spend a rainy day reading a book

14. Compile a soothing playlist

Mine consists of Bon Iver, Ben Howard, The National, Alabama Shakes, and Max Jury.

15. Donate blood

What's a better way to celebrate Halloween than getting some blood sucked out of you? According to the Community Blood Center, blood shortages are most common during the summer and winter months, so this is a great time to start getting in the habit of giving blood throughout the holidays. And in the wake of natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey, the demand for donations skyrockets. Suck up that fear of needles and go save some lives.

16. Go stargazing

17. Offer to rake a neighbor's yard

Don't make the little old man next door do it all by himself.

18. Bake a pie

Then eat said pie all by yourself in one sitting.

19. Take a technology break

20. Go to a local fair or festival

Pawnee Harvest Festival anyone?

21. Donate your old winter clothing and gear

Sweaters, coats, hats, gloves, boots... if you aren't using them, someone else will. Find a local shelter or clothing drive to donate your unused winter gear to (staying far away from the Salvation Army and other charities that exploit, discriminate against, and deceive the people they claim to help).

22. Make homemade soup

23. Start a Five Minute Journal

Get yours here.

24. Make s'mores

Or if you're like me, just eat all the chocolate.

25. Plant bulbs with your mom

Bulbs are plants that go in the ground during the fall to bloom in the springtime. Take a day with your mom/motherly figure to plant bulbs outside and spend some quality time together.

26. Go on a hayride

Unless you're allergic to hay.

27. Bake pumpkin bread

To go with your PSL, of course.

28. Declutter your room

Spring Cleaning doesn't have to come just once a year. With the colder weather coming, you're going to be spending more time inside and it's important to keep your environment clean, fresh, and welcoming. Clear out your closet, get rid of things you don't need and aren't using, and try out some feng shui techniques so your living space can become a breeding ground for positive energy.

29. Treat yourself to some Bath & Body Works fall scents

30. Or make your own candles

31. Read a Stephen King novel

32. Start a new TV show

Fall is full of television premieres, and it's also the perfect time to binge shows that will be returning this winter, like the CW's The 100.

33. Do a DIY project off of Pinterest

34. Watch every Tim Burton movie

35. Have a pet costume contest with friends

36. Learn the "Thriller" dance

37. Go for an early jog in the crisp air

38. Make caramel apples

39. Press leaves

40. Have a Harry Potter marathon

There are so many ways to enjoy all the beauty, coziness, and fun that fall has to offer. Go out there and make the most of it!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
