The word ‘autumn’ alone is such a pretty sounding word, yet there is so much more to this enchanting season that really puts it above all the others. Summer-lovers, I encourage you to keep an open mind while reading these valid points.
Holidays
What else could be better than dressing up as your favorite or celebrity or inanimate object and prancing around with your friends, receiving unending heaps of candy? Or, if you’re like me and a smidge too old for that (even though you really want to, but it’s not socially acceptable without people thinking you’re a pedophile or mentally insane), you still throw on a costume, but instead go to a super fun Halloween party with spiked witch’s brew punch and candy corn-flavored shots.
Scenery
No one can deny that autumn is by far the most colorful season with its strikingly beautiful leaves and pale-colored skies. Nothing can satisfy a soul faster than a cluster of trees, all painted bright yellow and candy apple red. Speaking of apples...
Food
From yummy pumpkin pies to pumpkin spice lattes, you will surely find any food with a pumpkin flavor option. Not to mention warm cinnamon sangria and homemade apple pies to warm you up from the outside chill! Lastly, don’t forget about when Thanksgiving comes around and the table is jam-packed with pies, potatoes, and turkey galore.
Clothing
And who cares if you put on a little extra poundage from all that yummy food? At least you have comfy, over-sized sweaters to cover it up! It’s honestly a blessing when you can go to class in basically tight sweatpants (leggings) paired with a pullover and still look half decent. And for when you go out, booties are always a solid choice that are much comfier than the average heel.
Neutral weather
Personally, I’m not a summer person. There is nothing glamorous about the hot 98-degree sun slowly melting off your face makeup and bringing your skin to a harsh, cherry red. Autumn gives off that warm, soft glow but chilly wind at the same time, making it the perfect temperature to play sports outside or have a lazy day in when you feel like it.
