The guys you need to pick up to help you win your fantasy match up this week

Waiver Wire Gems

This week in fantasy baseball is huge if you're near the top of the leader boards. I am here to give you tips, tricks and advice to put your fantasy team over the top.

Last week I was campaigning for Clayton Kershaw owners to consider shopping the Dodger lefty. Then the Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts came out this week and said that Kershaw may need surgery on his back and may not pitch again in 2016.

Speaking of Dodgers players, I also wanted you guys to pick up Justin Turner. Turner who averaged 16 fantasy points a game in his last six games. Turner has been mashing RBI's and home runs left and right and is still available in 34 percent of ESPN fantasy league and is an excellent daily option.

Now on to this week. If you don't have your mitts on Cleveland Indians first baseman Mike Napoli, go to the waiver wire right now and pick him up. Much like Justin Turner, he is available in 34 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues and he's going quickly. Napoli has hit four home runs in his last six games with six RBI's and has averaged 16.6 fantasy points a game. While Napoli leads the majors in strikeouts, he is also near the top of the home run statistic for all of major league baseball with 22 home runs. Napoli for all his power is a bit of a double edged sword if your league really punishes strikeouts. However Napoli is on pace to have one of the best seasons of his career. His bat is worth having in your line up.

My second gem to pick up off the waiver wire this week is Washington Nationals short stop Danny Espinosa. Espinosa is available in 50 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues and is a very serviceable short stop if you don't have an established option. After this week's series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Nationals will play the Padres who have given up the tenth most home runs in the majors, the sixth most losses, allow the fifth most run, yeah you get the point the Padres pitching is horrendous. I will take that match up every day of the week. Do yourself a favor and pick up Danny Espinosa.

My final player to be on the look out for is Boston Red Sox utility man Brock Holt. On top of Holt's amazing versatility, playing second base, third base and the outfield, he had put up back to back double digit games against the NL West leading San Francisco Giants. The Red Sox will play the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, and Los Angeles Angels this week. Brock Holt and the Red Sox offense should feast this week. Holt is available in over 75 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues and is primed for a huge week. Holt may be the catch of the week if you can manage to get your hands on him.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
