To The Aunt Who Is Always There,

Thanks for everything you do for me. Thanks for random phone calls testing out your Bluetooth and silly Snapchats and asking me for help using technology.

You were there for me all growing up. You came to my rec league games even though you don't really like sports, and you went to volleyball tournaments and varsity games year after year to cheer me on. Thanks for being my cheerleader from the sidelines and from afar.

Thanks for letting me share your bed at your house and letting me stay up late and eat all the Krispy Kreme doughnuts that I wanted. Even though I got sick from eating too many, it was okay because I finally got to ride in the front seat of the car with you.

Thanks for learning all the songs I liked as a kid, and still singing them with me when I play them on my throwback playlist on Spotify. Thanks for making silly videos with me on your laptop webcam before cell phones had front cameras.

Thank you for making me feel special and giving me a love of Disney movies, especially Peter Pan. Thanks for flying me like Tinker Bell by spinning me around and around until your arms were tired and we were so dizzy that we had to stop.

Thank you for being there for me to talk to when I didn't feel like talking to anyone else.

Thanks for giving me life advice.

Thank you for taking me on adventures to the mall and shopping all night for just one pair of shoes. For playing games with me that I made up when you probably didn't even understand all the rules.

Thank you for confiding in me, and treating me like a friend.

Thank you for letting me stand with you at your wedding, and showing me that love has its own version of time and that I should never settle.

Thank you for being at my high school graduation five days before you walked down the aisle.

Thank you for sharing your life with me, and investing in me as best you could like I was your own daughter.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
