11 Relatives You Share With The Griswolds

It's that time of the year again: time to watch "Christmas Vacation." While the movie is meant to be an unrealistic comedy, if you're like me, you've started to notice some uncanny similarities between your family and the Griswolds. Here are the relatives we all share with the Griswolds.

1. The one who's clueless about their own family.

2. The unexpected arrival.

"You surprised to see us, Clark?"

"Oh, Eddie. If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am now."

3. The one who struggles to say a complete prayer.

4 .The dog bringer.

"Uh, Eddie. What's wrong with the dog?"

"Oh, he's just yakin' on a bone. He got it up."

5. The incessant smoker.

6. The over-decorator.

7. The one who "must've been kicked in the head by a mule."

8. The one who has a meltdown.

9. The bad gift giver.

"This one here is leaking."

10. The terrible cook who tries anyway.

11. The one who overstays their welcome.

"When we leave here next month."

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
