Freshman year is over, summer break is over, and you're back on campus. Let's be honest, you're feeling way more confident than you did this time last year. You have some idea of how things work around campus; you know where to eat, where not to eat, where your classes are (kind of) and you have made some great friends (thank god). Sophomore year is looking up, but you're still questioning one thing. Should I rush? But more importantly, you're asking yourself, should I rush as a sophomore? And the answer is YES.
Although you may feel old standing next to all the cute freshmen who haven't gained those 15 pounds yet, it is so worth it. I rushed as a sophomore, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I made. Maybe you weren't sure if joining a sorority was for you last year or you wanted to get adjusted to college life before making a big time commitment like Greek Life. Even if you still aren't sure about a sorority or aren't fully adjusted to living on your own, you should still go through the rush process as a sophomore, and this is why.
1. Your campus gets even smaller.
Not literally obviously, but if you think you met a lot of people last year — just wait. Greek life automatically gives you a hundred-plus girls to study, eat, and hang out with on campus. Besides becoming sisters with a ton of women who have the same interests and values as you do, you meet so many other students in other sororities and fraternities just by joining Greek Life.
2. More opportunities.
