“The doubters said,
"Man can not fly,"
The doers said,
"Maybe, but we'll try,"
And finally soared
In the morning glow
While non-believers
Watched from below.”
- Bruce Lee
No matter the obstacles or successes in your life, you are bound to have those who try to dampen your ideas, actions, and/or beliefs. People who want to bring you down; who try to ruin your dreams; who try to take what you've earned; who try to rid you of your innovative creations. So this message is for you, doubters, and the reasons why you will never bring down my optimism.
To my doubters,
Your ill will does nothing but create a greater drive within me to succeed. I will take what I've been given through birth, and all I have earned and experienced during life so far to not only better myself; but also better those I associate with. Your words will not break me or veer me off the path I am on to be a hard-working, loving, and dedicated individual to accomplish all I set out to do in my time. Your unconscientious actions help me to keep striving for more knowledge; more strength; more love; more belief; more pride. Nothing you do will rip my morals from me, nor will you be able to stop me from continuously growing and learning day in and day out. My dreams will not die from your hatred, and my goals will not be erased due to your objective in destroying them. I am on a mission to build better character in a society filling itself with doubt.
To those of you who have stood by me from the start, you will not be let down.
And to those of you: the doubters; the nay-sayers; the non-believers; the pessimists; the girls who broke my heart; the shit talkers; the liars; the fake friends; and to anyone who said I CAN'T accomplish something - I'd like to personally thank you. For whatever justified reasons you have committed your actions, you have contributed to my inner motivation. You have helped to ignite a fire that will never be extinguished.
"Anything you wanna do you can
Just go and get it, fuck 'em if they don't love it
Be above it"
- Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, "Logic"
