Its always so frustrating being a Atlanta Sports Fan.

I have lived in Atlanta my whole life. Although I'm a huge sports fan, being an Atlanta sports fan in particular is a frustrating experience. The city of Atlanta has won just one sports title - the World Series in 1994 - before I was even born. Every year, I am always so hyped for the playoffs when any of our teams make it, but it always end in tears when they fail to make the finals.

1. Lack of attracting Big Names

Atlanta has never been known to have its own Lebron James, Peyton Manning or Derek Jeter that have led their team to a sports title and break numerous records. They also fail to land the big name superstars when they are available recently with a certain Kevin Durant. Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks left and signed with the Boston Celtics due to the "lack of the passionate fans" ending his nine year stay with Atlanta. With that lack of ambition, Atlanta does not have very much success to winning sports titles anytime soon.

2. Choking in the playoffs

The biggest frustration as an Atlanta sports fan is watching our team have a good regular season before choking completely in the playoffs. The 2012 Falcons were 17-0 up in the NFC championship game before completely choking and missing out in the Superbowl. The 2014-15 Hawks had the best record in the NBA but failed to make the finals. the continuous first round exits frustrates fans like me with the same problems coming up every year on why they exited so early.

3. Lack of fans passion

Atlanta is not known to have a passionate sports fan base but their attendance in all the major sports (MLB, NBA and NFL) all are in the bottom half in their league for attendance. Without the fan spirit there is no way a team can rally from a comeback and the teams attendance only rises when the team does well such as the 2014-15 Hawks, where they nearly sold out every game because they were playing so well. When the team is struggling such as the 2016 Braves averaging less than half their ballpark being full per game.

As someone who has followed Atlanta's sports for 8 years now it has been frustrating to see the lack of ambition that the owners and fans have for every team. If this ambition does not change soon, Atlanta could be setting many numerous unwanted records for lack of titles in their respective sport.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
