The athleisure trend has been taking the entire fashion world by storm – you know what that means, right? It means that it is now completely acceptable to incorporate comfort into any outfit while still looking trendy. It means that wearing sweatpants to work can absolutely look chic and put together! I mean, who wouldn’t want to wear sweats to school, or work, or even the club? Yes, the club. Though it may sound strange to some, here are five ways people have been styling the athleisure trend for all types of occasions.

The brand names.

Sports brands have been, and always will be, notorious for producing the best athleisure clothing. Look at Adidas, Fila, Kappa, and Nike, to name a few. These brands have been around for decades and they were the first to be the biggest influencers of the athleisure trend. We all remember when the three stripe Adidas leggings were just starting to become big, and what’s crazy is they still are! It also helps that celebrities like the Kardashians and the Hadids promote these brands and influence people like you and me to wear them, but that’s always been the way of the fashion game.

The tracksuit.

The rumors are true – tracksuits are back and better than ever. There’s nothing more satisfying than having an outfit completely match, and wearing a tracksuit helps you do this with almost no effort. Now, we’re not talking the old Juicy Couture tracksuits that were all the rage in 2007 – no, we are talking about rocking that polyester pants and jacket combo with the ribbed collar and zip up front. If you want to make a statement and look effortlessly extra, then the tracksuit is your go-to look. The “going out” look.

The "going out" look.

This recent look of the athleisure trend is probably my favorite because now I can wear sweatpants, yes sweatpants, on a night out with friends. All you have to do to transform your outfit from a lounge look to a party look is to add a nice top and some heels. That’s it! It’s insane what adding these two items to a pair of joggers will do to make you look ready to party, but it really helps create a comfy and chic outfit. My favorite going out athleisure look is a pair of slim joggers, a bodysuit with a plunging neckline, a pair of chunky heels. Trust me, I’ve never been more comfortable dancing the night away until the wee hours of the morning.

The joggers and crop top look.

Heard of a little store called Fashion Nova? Well, they are my go-to for finding the perfect joggers and crop top matching set that gives you sporty vibes but not enough to be something you would actually wear to the gym. This combo is the best for a casual day out and is one of the most common athleisure looks. Stars like Kylie Jenner and her best friend Jordyn Woods are known to constantly rock this look.

Accessories!

Although the athleisure trend does consist of athletic clothing, we all know accessories have the power to make or break the outfit. An essential part of an athleisure outfit is the sneakers you pair it with (or heels if you’re going out). People wake up early just to make sure they are online in time to purchase the latest Yeezy or Nike drop, because the shoe just makes the ‘fit. The sneaker culture is crazy and would take an entire separate article to explain, but let’s not discredit other accessories like hats, windbreakers, or even fanny packs that people add to make the perfect athleisure look come together.

For all of our sake’s, let’s hope the athleisure trend sticks around for a while. Maybe you hate this trend and think it’s just lazy people refusing to dress professionally, but I will take that criticism happily if it means I can wear sweatpants to class and still look cute any day.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
