Lately in life I’ve been worried about my future. I’ve been worried about my health. I’ve been taking a medication for the past few years. Recently, my doctor has said that it is okay for me to wean off of it. My mom and I have agreed with the doctor that it is good for me to try to wean off the medication since I can. However, I am a bit worried about it. I am worried because the first time that I went from taking it twice a day, to once every other day I got sick to my stomach a couple of times. My body was used to the drug and was shocked that it didn’t have as much of it in its system. I was talking to my grandma on the phone and she made the comment about how I can almost relate to the people with hardcore drug addictions out there. I didn’t disagree with her. This weekend I make the move to stop taking the drug entirely. I’ve been listening to Joel Osteen a lot lately on YouTube. I feel like it’s a good thing for me with what I’m dealing with lately. Joel Osteen is a very positive minded preacher. I listened to a video of him recently where he was talking about “ease is coming.” You may be having a tough time now but it won’t always be that way. I felt like he was speaking to me. I may have gotten sick while weaning off of the medication, but it’ll be worth it in the end when I don’t have to take the medication anymore. I just have to have a Joel Osteen frame of mind. Ease is coming. Ease is coming for you too, with whatever you are dealing with, to whoever is reading this.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
