My Astrology Journey

I encourage everyone to be part of a pseudoscience, especially the ones that have not yet been proven.

My love of astrology has been a cornerstone in my ability to love and understand myself and others. I use it to see through other people's eyes, almost like a psychology but different. Astrology to me is more than a horoscope on a newspaper or magazine page. It is more than your birthday, you can look into any factor of your life. Astrology allows me to see my life path, and where I am heading. My journey to learning all that I know today about astrology was anything but easy.

I once had this friend who I worked with over the summer. We spent hours talking about how he was a "Sagittarius Rising" and I was hooked and fascinated to learn how one person could be two completely different signs. I wanted to learn more, about myself and others. So, one night I got online and I researched more. I became even more hooked on the topic. I researched my own birth time and place. I found my full chart and started to take pieces apart to understand myself.

I followed an astrologer who YouTube's regularly. Her name is Alyssa Sharpe. Alyssa, as well as many others, is the reason I am able to do all that I can today. She breaks down tough topics that aspiring astrologers want to understand but have trouble with. Her videos make me laugh, cry, and understand myself and others.

This hobby has given me so much more than just a fun topic to research. I find myself staying up 'til 2am writing, reading, and researching about every astrology topic imaginable. I am part of many communities with other astrologers, we talk back and fourth about things all the time. Being part of this huge world, allows me to pick apart pieces of the puzzle of life. I have learned so many things about astrology that I can use in the future as well. I hope to eventually do readings and predictive astrology to grow my brand as a true astrologer. But, first I must learn more.

I encourage everyone to be part of a psudeoscience. Especially the ones that have not yet been proven, as they are the most interesting.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?
