What do you think about yourself? What do you think is the most important thing about you? What does everyone else think? Does it ever worry you? It does for most people. And it does for me. I decided to test that theory and actually asked people what they think of me and put it in three words.
I define myself as passionate, smart, and intuitive. It didn't take me too long to think of these three adjectives because I have thought about this before. It's one of the reasons why I was so curious about doing this personal project.
My mom said giving, compassionate, and warrior. My dad said caring, musical, and unpredictable. My best friend said headstrong, thoughtful, and assertive. My suitemates said mom, funny, loud; sleepy, loveable, and badass. Another friend said delightful, gamer, and Slytherin, and a school friend said smart, pretty and funny.
My favorite descriptions are caring, mom, assertive, and thoughtful. I was happy with the answers that people gave me and I pretty much agree with them. I think that the answers also depend on the level of closeness that I have with each person and the type of relationship that we have. My closest and happiest relationships, with my mother and best friend, are the ones that I agree with most. I also noticed that the closer I am with the person, the more specific their answers were, with my parents and best friend being quite descriptive and my friend from school being very generic. Of course, no one's description matched my definition of myself perfectly and I think that is because what each person holds that is important or what they notice about me first is different. Similarly, what I value most about myself is not something I tell people because it is a very personal value for me. I am a passionate person in that I commit myself into everything that I do and being able to follow through in what I start means a lot to me. Since I don't tell people that, it makes sense why no one but my best friend would put things associated with it.
