In the latest political battles, I vowed I would never write about anything political. Ever. But I can no longer keep my mouth shut.

In recent release of scandals that target Donald Trump for “locker room talk” from decades ago is really the least of my problems. Feminist are outraged by the words Trump said. Needless to say, there isn’t much supporting evidence if he actually did what he said. Some women have come forward with allegations but why did they not come forward before? Mr. Trump has been a huge millionaire for, well ever. I see problems in what was said by Mr. Trump but, I understand that there is lack of evidence and the influence of the media twisting and manipulating everything. My real issue is with Mrs. Clinton.

Let’s start from the beginning. In 1975, Clinton was a lawyer who defended Thomas Alfred Taylor. Taylor was convicted of raping a 12-year girl. Clinton brought his sentence from 5 years in prison to 1 year jail time and 4 years probation. Yes, Clinton was doing her job as a lawyer but in the recent release of the “Hillary Tape”, Clinton is heard laughing about getting Taylor through all the loopholes. Clinton found a way to block needed evidence to properly convict Taylor.

Starting in 1995, Bill Clinton started an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Since then there have been more and more women coming forward stating that they were raped or assaulted by Mr. Clinton. There have been 18 reported cases against Mr. Clinton. Through all of these cases, Hillary Clinton has dismissed and discredited the victims of her husband. She went after these victims not to help but to destroy them.

Furthering this discussion on her callous towards human dignity is her stance on abortion. Mrs. Clinton is pro-choice. This means she accepts abortion as okay. This is something that I truly have a problem with. Life begins at the moment of conception but even though Mrs. Clinton supports abortion she opposes the death penalty. So, an innocent child who has yet to experience the world is okay to kill but yet a criminal, who may have killed and raped people, is allowed to live.

Clinton claims to be a lifelong advocate for women and children. Yet, she dismisses rape victims and supports the killing of unborn children. I don’t know what her idea of being an advocate is but I think she needs to rethink that one.

Do I even need to mention the emails? This woman has laughed about sharing classified information. I firmly believe anyone under criminal investigation should not be allowed to run for president.

In my opinion, Hillary Clinton is a power-hungry, manipulative, mentally unstable, pathological liar.

Personally, I don’t want someone who will defend rapists, lie about everything, and will ruin the country in the White House.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
