We all love thanksgiving. It's a way to get together with family when you're just coming back from college, a way to finally relax from all the school work, and a way to eat, let's just say, real home-cooked food. We all know those phases that we go through.. let's just put them out there.
1. The "Midterms need to be over so I can come home and eat that damn turkey" Phase.
It's just about that time. Midterms are coming to an end, and that last one just makes you want to jump off the nearest cliff.
2. The "I'm ready to come home" Phase.
The moment midterms are over, the moment you leave to go home, you're ready for that damn turkey!
3. The "It's time to eat" Phase.
Forget about anything else, you're ready to dive on in!
4. The "Grandma tries to give thanks" Phase.
We all have that family member, who just doesn't eat right away. They must say every little thing of why Thanksgiving is the best holiday and how we should appreciate it. We get it. Now
5. The "Stuff your face" Phase.
Your family looks at you like you haven't eaten for 20 years.
6. The "You ate so much, you feel like a stuffed turkey" Phase.
We've all been there. You have to un-buckle your pants and sit there for a few minutes, while your breath becomes thick and heavy, and you actually feel as if you were the stuffed turkey on the table.
7. The "Oh no, the desert is ready" Phase.
The moment we've all been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen! Just after you thought you couldn't eat the entire table, there is more. Something none of us can resist.
8. The "Food Coma" Phase.
This is never a good moment in history, but it was well worth it!
9. The "Realization that you have school after this" Phase.
Someone just had to mention the word "school," didn't they?
10. The "Thanksgiving Blues" Phase.
The drive back to school, feeling some type of way.
11. The "What even is homework?" Phase.
All that stuffing and turkey got to your head, and you just don't know where to even start.
