Being admitted into OSU's art education program seems like a big deal. But, was it really as difficult as one would believe?
Like most children, I had many interests between my toddler years and my high school graduation. Piano lessons, swimming, making art, learning Spanish, debate club -- the only one that stayed consistent was my love for art. So, naturally, I decided that I would do something with art in my adult life. But, how would I do this without just studying fine arts?
...Bingo! If I become an art teacher, I'll get paid to be involved with art every single day.
That, my friends, is how I became a student studying art education. From day 1, I was reminded how prestigious OSU's art education program is (it constantly sticks within the top 3 in the nation, with Penn State and Oregon State). Cue the many breakdowns about "not being good enough," "not being a real artist," and even "I'm not good enough to be going to this school."
