I really thought this year’s bachelor, Arie Luyendyk Jr., would end up being a decent guy. I mean, he was on "The Bachelorette" five years ago and got his heart broke. I had watched him on Emily's season and loved him, I even follow him on social media. When he set foot on Emily's season I knew who he was as soon as he introduced himself being a racing fan. I was for sure a fan.

So, my assumption was that he could handle this experience being on the opposite end of it. On top of that, he is old enough to be some of the contestants' Sugar Daddy. He is 36, so there is some assumed maturity. He rolled through the season and wasn’t too horrible. There were not any real jerk moves until the end. Before the finale, he did good, until he got really obsessed with Bekah M’s age. This I feel like he could have handled a lot better than he did.

Then we get to the finale. First of all, he tells Lauren AND Becca that he loves them. Which especially in "The Bachelor"/"Bachelorette" is a BIG no – no. I do not believe that you can love two people at the same time anyhow. So, it goes on as it usually does. The first woman out of the car is the one who gets her heart broke and dumped.

This was Lauren, which did not shock me because she seemed very cold and not very into him. She stood there and spilled her heart out as he made no eye contact and his body language was very off to her. Not exactly a great move to let her stand there for what seemed like 10 minutes. I mean, it is not hateable that he did this, but he could have stopped her. He sends her away crying and confused, like normal.

Then Becca comes. Becca does the same of laying her feelings out, obviously not knowing she is the second one to see him and has much better odds. As she is putting her heart on the time he has better body language towards her, but he could have made a lot more eye contact. When my husband proposed, that whole day when he wasn’t driving he didn’t break eye contact. But then after Becca gets done he is so sweet and kind and proposes. In the video and pictures, they show afterward it looks like they are just where they should be.

Then Chris Harrison has to drop the bomb that the drama is nowhere near over, and it is the most dramatic ending. Then for over half an hour, we had to watch Arie damage a girl who obviously loves him beyond words. You see, the cruel part is, he set her up and then he wanted to film it! She thought they were at this gorgeous house for time together since they had been apart. Then he drops this on her, and she is obviously just shocked and very upset. She walks away from him, which seemed to be so she could keep her cool. He eventually walks after her and knocks on the door asking if she is ok.

Mind you, he knocks on that door like he is getting ready to help a person who is being sick. She had clearly told him to go away, and he keeps up on it. She goes out to talk again, which he did not deserve. He babbles on AGAIN. She is clearly upset with her head in her hands. He sits there with his hands in his lap just looking at her. Becca again asks multiple times for him to leave. After what seemed like the millionth time, he finally left the poor girl alone.

Not only was it cruel for Arie to propose to Becca but to make a long TV piece out of dumping her because of his jumped decision was a total jerk move. Mind you he could have told both women he wanted to date both of them after the show in a more normal setting. No one was forcing him to propose. There have been many people on the shot that do not propose. It is not a rule that they have to. Then part two rolls around and he goes running back to Lauren who for some reason takes him back. Her behavior was suspicious, but I’ll save that for another time.

Arie then feels like it is ok to propose to Lauren, thank god with a different ring, right in front of Becca. Sure, Becca said she was doing ok, but if they were so concerned about how she felt, he wouldn’t have done this. Arie must’ve been in it for the Neil Lane ring.

So, congratulations Arie, you are the low life dirt that normal girls have to deal with every day.

Shame on your for unnecessarily breaking hearts and making a wonderful woman go through this. Your ‘maturity’ is so disappointing.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
