I’ve grown so tired of people wanting to talk and not listen

hear, but not take time to comprehend

nod their head, then ask that same question

you just answered again

or the ones that can’t keep a comversation together

so many distractions, the act of talking

just further complicates the matter and

as a matter of fact

they are so busy on devices that cover their ear they

didn’t hear you in the first place

when did we replace

honestconversation with the brain making note to

“Keep a straight face…just act like you hear”

and all the while you miss the message and it was one

you needed to hear, and understand

can you please LISTEN…damn

I mean I know it’s hard, but a conversation comes in

2 parts, and if you don’t do your part

don’t wonder why it all…falls apart

and apart is what you need to be

answering the questions that bring clarity

I mean at any point feel free to intrupt me, but

not to many times, step on these toes and I start

drawing invisible lines and twist mouth to the side

and start to shut up and down,

make comments under my breathe…can you hear me now

and well, I said all this to say

“Y” aren’t you listening?

NOTE On COMMUNICATION: If we are not talking about WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW & HOW LONG….or at least the answer to those questions…why are we talking?
