It's that time of year again! The weather is changing, leaves are falling and we're heading into sweatshirt season. We can all agree holiday season wouldn't be the same without warm clothing. The only problem is the few weeks in September and October where one day it can be 70 and sunny. The next day it could be 56 degrees and rainy. Mother Nature has a strange way of bending our closets, because we are constantly weather confused.
The question is, what do we wear because of this phenomenon. Some days I have no clue. Call me irresponsible, but I barely have time to respond to emails, let alone check the weather. Even if I do check the weather, we all know it's always a few degrees off and a 30 percent chance of rain is very possible. So what do we do?
We know we don't want to freeze to death out at a tailgate but it's too warm to wear boots. Girls want to wear their dresses, but in a split second it all changes because good ole Mother Nature decides Saturday is a good day for rain. This time of year can instantly bring out the downfall of colder weather. Mainly because we don't know what to wear half of the time.
If you are one of the weather confused, join the club! We wear shorts in colder weather, rider boots in September and don't give a damn what anyone thinks. Strictly because we don't know what Mother Nature is going to do for the day. We wake up in the morning and it feels like a day to wear pants. Come around 2 p.m., we will be sweating because it's so hot outside. The perks of living in Kentucky!
Being weather confused whenever it comes to picking out your wardrobe for the day, has no restrictions. Ladies may mix it up and wear a dress with leggings and Uggs, accidentally in 68 degree weather. More than likely she will get overheated. It's okay though, she's just weather confused. A guy could wear shorts, sperrys and a long sleeve flannel in 72 degree weather, despite becoming overheated. Seriously though, it's okay because he is just weather confused.
If you happen to see someone who looks to be weather confused, do realize it happens to the best of us. Half of us are running around like a chicken with its head cut off anyways. Hell, most of the time we barely know what day it is. Most of the time we only know what day it is because we either work, or have class. So give us a break, we are trying our best!
As the days get colder, and the nights get shorter we will adapt to our winter wardrobes. It's just so hard to let go of our summer attire. Summer brings out the best in us and who likes to dress up when it's dreary out. I personally wanna toast to sweat pant season. Since it's getting colder the only thing we should do to adapt is dress warm! For all who are concerned, being weather confused with only last a few more weeks!
