I believe in love. Whether they're found while you are young or old, I believe everyone has a soulmate.
Falling in love with someone does not mean you serve them materialistic items on a golden platter for them to only wear for the media to see. It is not when your partner sends you a long goodnight text only to find themselves repeating the same words night after night.
Love is when your partner surprises you with your favorite coffee from the shop down the street, or when he/she opens the doors for you. It is the times where no matter where you are in the world you feel compleltey at ease and blissful with them. It is valuing the words you exchange such as "I love you" and not letting them lose the spark you get inside when you hear them.
Don't get me wrong, getting on Pinterest and scrolling throught ungodly amounts of wedding rings, décor, and endless theme ideas is something that gets us excited and ready for one of the biggest days of our life. I just tell myself when the time comes to reflect on how you're there for the person, not the ring on your finger or the designer gown. Remember, love is something that lasts through not only the good times but also the tough ones. It is an emotion we as human beings have that allows us to trust, become confident, and see with our heart, all without speaking a single word.
Most importantly, remind yourself that love is eternal and if it is the real thing, it will never fail you no matter where you find it.
