Why are rescue dogs so sweet?

I believe they are sweet and kind because they haven't seen love like we give them before.

This is Koda's story. Koda is our "puppy" dog. She's not really a puppy she's an adult dog. But, she will always be our puppy.

Koda's story is not like regular dogs. Her story starts out like any other dogs and then takes a turn for the worse. Her story starts before we even knew she existed. It starts with my grandparents. They are missionaries every summer for six weeks at a time. Well, they got a German Shepherd puppy a few months before they left so we were able to watch their sweet puppy named Jak. He was one of three dogs in the litter, one male and two females. We fell in love with him instantly. The breed is so loyal, kind, compassionate, and faithful.

We told the breeder that if he ever has another litter of puppies, we would love one!

Our time came sooner than later. It was unfortunate circumstances but we got her. When we got her, she was shy and not a people "dog." She didn't like to be touched. She was scared of us. It's really sad when dogs are scared of the people who love them and who are supposed to be there for them. It really breaks your heart.

She has since then come out of her shell. Her fur is so much better. Her skin is in great shape. She is in good shape. When we got her, she was not in the best shape because she was malnourished. In some places, she was very skittish. She didn't like to be touched on her back end. She has gotten better at that because she knows that we aren't there to hurt her. We are here to love her and take good care of her.

She is now healthy and loving her brother, Jak, so much. When they see each other, they love to play. Although, she gets annoyed at him very easily.

We recently got another puppy. An actual one this time. He is here to bring her companionship. He is here to bring her someone to comfort when we are gone during the day. He is supposed to help her anxiety. Her anxiety has gotten really bad lately. In the past year, it has gotten really bad. From chewing up shoes she knows she shouldn't or peeing in the house when she is five years old and she know better.

His name is Remington Winchester Buckshot Carrier. We basically got our dog a dog. We are really hoping Remi helps her. It will take a little while but I know she will get better.

So this is Koda's story. I hope this story has shown you that rescue dogs are worth it. They are worth the time it takes to let them heal. They are worth everything. Don't overlook them when deciding on a new family member. Remember they are not just dogs, they are family members.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate.
