Six Reasons Your Next Vacation Should Be A Cruise
Business Insider

Cruising is a unique opportunity for one to travel to various places and have fun while doing so. If you have never cruised before, you may not realize how fun and easy it is to cruise. While there are many different cruise lines, each offer a great opportunity to enjoy your time traveling to your destination. Here are six reasons why you should plan a cruise!

  1. Fun for the whole family.

No matter your age or interests, there is something for everyone on a cruise! You can participate in organized activities, go for a swim, check out the latest movie, play sports, rock climb, shop, enjoy the day at the spa, or even ice skate. The activities are endless! Even if members of your group have different interests, they can go off on their own and you all can meet for dinner and then catch a show.

2. Great and endless food.

One great thing about cruising is the food! There are all different types of food, guaranteed to please even the pickiest of eaters. There are tons of cakes, cookies, fruits, and desserts as well! Food is available at every hour during the length of your cruise and so is room service. The price of your cruise includes food, so it is all you can eat!

3. Twenty-four hour entertainment

Each night there are usually at least two Broadway-style shows and live music throughout the ship. There are night clubs with DJs or live bands and singers where you can dance the night away. Additionally, ships often have comedians, aerialists, and even ice dancers. Some of the acts are things that many people ordinarily wouldn’t experience, but will be glad they did.

4. You have the option to relax.

If all of the activities don’t sound enjoyable to you or your idea of a good time is resting in a lounge chair, you can do that too! There are plenty of quiet areas on the ships where you can sit back, relax, read a good book or catch some shut eye.

5. Ships are like floating hotels.

Unlike a normal vacation where you fly to your destination, a cruise allows you to enjoy the traveling aspect of your trip as well as visit many different places at once. Most cruises visit three or four different islands, allowing you to see different sights and experience different cultures. You disembark from the ship, enjoy your day on the island, board the ship again, and set sail for your next destination.

6. There is no Wi-Fi or cellphone connection.

Although this may sound frightening for some, being disconnected for a week is actually a great feeling. You have absolutely no idea what is going on in the world outside of your ship and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Being disconnected from the internet allows you to connect with the people who you are vacationing with and truly live in the moment. Don’t panic, there is an option to purchase internet access for an outrageous price should you feel the need to read every text, email, Facebook post, and tweet that is posted while you are on vacation.
