As the Met Gala comes to an end, qualified and unqualified individuals begin to tweet how Lady Gaga provided four looks in one, James Charles wore a bandanna, and surprisingly how Kendall and Kylie Jenner look like they started in the movie "White Chicks," but what the typical viewer didn't realize was, that night, history was being broken. As Aquaria, real name Giovanni Palandrani and winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 10, would be the first ever drag queen to grace the exhibit floor. Her presence, followed by "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 7 winner, Violet Chacki shocked and amaze as they truly show what 'camp' is. Their style and composure of being at the Met show not only drag fans but all fashion critics, whether qualified or not, that we need more!
Fans took to tweet to show support, and praise the looks presented that night while others suggested a variety of drag queens who would dominate the theme, and exhibit overall.

While this may be just a fashion show to many, and some don't understand drag queens or why this historical moment is important, there are plenty of people, like myself, who see this as the LGBT+ community having a glimpse into what's it is like being in the mainstream media. Aquaria did more than just walk that night; she showed the community how much hard work, love, and dedication to your job (which drag is) can take you to unimaginable places. Hopefully, in the future, many other fan favorite drag queens can be invited to the Met Gala not as a rarity or something to gawk at, but as a fashion lover and celebrity like the rest of the people invited there.
