My top music suggestions of this month.

This month I discovered some new music and artists and found appreciation for older songs I hadn’t before. I’m going to start a new series where I share some of my favorite music from that particular month. Music is constantly changing and evolving as our society does and each genre has a completely different sound. I hope you find some new music to enjoy.

Chappell Roan – School Nights EP

I couldn’t just choose one song from this EP because in order to fully feel Chappell’s music, you have to listen to all of the songs. Each song flows smoothly and elegantly into the other, each telling a different but interrelated story.

5 Seconds of Summer – Want You Back

This pop-punk band released their first single in two years and they surely did not disappoint. This song is unlike any of their previous music because it is slightly more pop but they still rely on their guitar abilities.

Logic – Bobby Tarantino II (Album)

It was only a few months ago that I was writing about Logic’s last album "Everybody," but here I am raving about his new album. It hasn't even been a year since his last and he came out with fresh and new music. Huge beats and lots of shade thrown but it’s Logic so who really cares?

Lil Peep – HELLBOY (Album)

I cannot believe I am saying this, because it is so unlike me, but I actually started getting into Lil Peep’s music. He has a very unique song that is unlike the typical “trap” music that is overplayed. This album is only featured on Soundcloud but it is definitely worth the listen. The song "OMFG" will break your heart because of how real and raw it is. Other notable songs include: "hellboy," "nose ring" and '"drive."

LANY - LANY (Album)

I have heard about this band for a long time and have continuously put off listening to them because I knew I would like them. This album is a cross between The 1975 and COIN, both alternative bands as well. Two amazing songs, both lyrically and musically, that I think are worth listening to include "Hericane" and "Tampa."

Spice Girls – Stop

The Spice Girls were one of the first CD’s I have ever gotten from my older sister. This song is an oldy but a goody. The song itself really isn’t that deep and definitely is just your average pop song but it’s cute to sing with your girlfriends while driving to the beach.

My Chemical Romance – Welcome to the Black Parade (Album)

I’m going to be honest: if you haven’t heard at least one song from this album, I don’t think we can be friends. This is probably one of my favorite albums of all time solely because I can literally jam out to every song. The word that comes to mind with this album is “chaotic” but in the best way. My Chemical Romance brings punk-rock to a whole new level.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.
