10 Apps You Can Always Find On My Phone

In This Article:

With technology being so advanced these days, there's literally an app for anything and everything you can think of. From shopping to food, to editing software, you should be able to find what you're looking for. These are apps I use pretty much every day and you will always be able to find them on my phone. They just make day to day life a little simpler and I can rest assured that everything I do will be logged right on my phone which is nice because I always have it with me.

Audible

Audible‎Audible audiobooks & originals

Driving back and forth between school and home, I am in my car for a long period of time usually. Instead listening to the same playlist over and over, I turn on an audio book. This way I'm still learning or taking in information even though I'm driving.

Motivation

motivation app‎Motivation - Daily quotes

This app pushes motivational quotes to you throughout the day. It seemed cheesy when I downloaded it at first, but it somehow always gives me quotes that I need to hear/be reminded of or it relates to something going on in my life at that moment. It's creepy, but needed.

Co - Star

co - star‎Co–Star Personalized Astrology

I've always been fascinated by astrology so I usually read my horoscope when I wake up in the morning or go to bed. It's crazy how accurate it can be sometimes.

Calm

This app comes in handy for meditating, relaxing or getting to sleep. I love the guided mediation they offer and how the app is laid out.

AFLETE

AFLETE‎AFLETE

I have recently gotten back into weight lifting and working out. I use this app for the guides I bought from the YouTuber Hanna Oberg. It times all of your exercises and you can log all of your sets, reps, and weight.

MyFitnessPal

With weight lifting hard, I've decided to track my calorie intake so I can gain more muscle and fuel my body. This app makes it so easy. You just scan the barcode or add in recipes you've made and you're done. It's so simple.

VSCO

VSCO‎VSCO: Photo & Video Editor

I use this app to edit all of my pictures whether for Instagram or to make my head shot or profile picture look better.

Poshmark

Poshmark‎Poshmark

Considering it is spring time, that means spring cleaning. Any clothes that I spent decent money on, but haven't worn in months, I put it on Poshmark to try to get some of that money back.

Apple TV Remote

If you have an Apple TV, you know that the remote is so tiny. I lose it in my blankets all the time, so this app is a lifesaver when I can't find it and I want to change a song or something.

Acorns

Acorns‎Acorns: Invest Spare Change

I use this app to invest in the stock market and put extra money aside. It's an easy way to build up a savings while also contributing to the stock market and making more money.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
