We all know that our significant other is one of our favorite people in the world. They do a lot of things for us, like buying things for us, and make sacrifices for us. They truly are wonderful, and they deserve all the appreciation they can get. And trust me, they will love hearing how much they are appreciated.

1. For spending so much time with us.

Sometimes, our schedules can get pretty crazy. At times, it can be hard to squeeze things in. But, our men always manage to set aside time for us, whether it's by coming over and just spending time together, going on a date, or giving us a phone call at the end of the day. It's the things like that that we love the most. We love talking to and spending time with our man, and when he makes time out of his busy day to just be with his girl, it means a whole lot to us.

2. For cooking for us.

Going on dinner dates is great and fun, but one thing that is sure to melt a woman's heart is when her man cooks for her. It is such a great feeling to know that the meal I'm eating was made so delicately and with love, by the man I love, for me to enjoy. Not to mention, how absolutely amazing he looks while he's making the meal! It's one thing we are very grateful for, especially if we are hurt or sick.

3. For always being there for us.

When we've had a bad day, or if we're going through a rough time, our man will be here to give us comfort. Sometimes, it's the only thing we need to feel better, whether it's the loving words he says, an abundance of hugs, saying or doing something to cheer us up, or cuddling up and watching a movie together. Anything he does that makes us feel better, we are grateful for.

4. For making us feel better about ourselves.

Some days, when things have been looking down, we start to feel a little bit self conscious. We're not as confident as we usually are about ourselves, but our men are here to remind us of what makes us great. Sometimes we just need that little reminder of how amazing we are and how great we look, and it feels amazing when we hear it come from someone who means so much to us.

5. For all the stuff he buys us.

Even when money is a little tight, he will still buy us things, whether it's something we want, a date night out, or even just your regular trip to Taco Bell, he is gracious enough to buy something nice for us. Even just the little things you get for us will warm our hearts. It feels good to know that someone cares enough for us to spend money on us.

6. For staying loyal.

In a harsh world full of cheating men, it's nice to find a man who stays loyal to you. This is something we can't thank you enough for, especially if we had issues with a significant other cheating on us in the past. It feels great to know that you have a man who loves and cares about you so much, that you are the only woman he wants to be with.

7. For being an inspiration.

When we want to be our best at something, it's nice to have our man there to inspire us to be our best. If we want to succeed at our job, be the best person we could be, for him and for other people, or to go do something we always wanted to do, it's such a great feeling to have him there to believe in us and help us reach our dreams.

8. For being our best friend.

Sometimes, when it feels like we have nobody, we always know that he is there. He is the one person we know we can always turn to for anything, no matter what it is. Even if it's something silly or embarrassing, you can always talk to him about it and he will help you through any struggle you may be facing in your life.

So, thank you to all the great boyfriends out there.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
