Anyone that knows me knows that I am a huge "small moments" girl, and I appreciate the small moments I have in my life, or I'll remember the small things that others do for me. It's these moments that mean the most to us, because they occur naturally, and appear thoughtful. We all deserve to have little things that make us smile. One of my favorite quotes from "One Tree Hill" is, "Most of our life is a series of images that pass us like towns on the highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us when it happens and we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever". There are a plethora of moments that I classify as "some of the best feelings". The list could probably go on for ages, but below are some of my absolute favorites. Life gets crazy, hectic and overwhelming on us all; but sometimes a moment hits us where we stop and remember how blessed and wonderful life's little moments are.

1. Freshly Washed Sheets

There is nothing better than crawling into bed at night with fresh sheets. You just know you're about to have the best sleep of your life that night and you're excited for it. It's the equivalent to flipping your pillow over to the cold side, or even getting into bed and realizing your sheets are cold.

2. Freshly Shaved Legs

In the summer, you have to do this more often, but the feeling still doesn't change. You get out of the shower, put on some clothes, and you feel invincible. You can crawl under a blanket and feel how soft your legs are. Sorry boys, you probably can't relate to this one, but us girls know what this is about.

3. The Smell of Chocolate Chip Cookies In The Oven

The cookies are almost done and the smell radiates into the air. You can't wait for homemade chocolate chip cookies and a glass of cold milk.

4. A Shower After Being Outside All Day

You've been sweating all day outside in the sun. Your skin feels hot, and you're physically exhausted. What do you do? Take a shower. The feeling of being clean again after being outside is a top 20 moment for sure.

5. Your Toes Hitting The Beach Sand

You take your shoes off and crinkle your feet into the white sand. All is right in the world. You sit down and listen to the sound of the waves as they hit the shore. This is the life worth living.

6. A Warm Bubble Bath

Sometimes I love to light a candle and to take a warm bath filled with bubbles.

7. Watching The Sunset With People You Love

Imagine this; you drove out to your favorite spot to watch the sunset. It's shorts and sweatshirt weather. You have your best friends around you and you can experience a silence without it being uncomfortable. You sit there and take in the beauty as the sky turns to warm colors.

8. Night Drives With The Music Playing

Ever since I had my own car, I do this way too often. Sometimes the best way to unwind is to get on a long backroad with the windows down and the country music turned up.

9. Finding a Bible Verse That Perfectly Describes Your Situation

When you come across a bible verse, a tweet, or a quote that perfectly describes how you're feeling you sit back, smile and say "yes". Being able to relate to the passage makes you feel less crazy and alone.

10. Seeing Your Favorite Artist In Concert

When you know every lyric to every song, you know you've peaked. Hearing an artist in concert is way better than on the radio or through iTunes and Spotify.

11. A Good Hair Day

This can occur in two different scenarios, both of which make all girls happy. The first situation is waking up to your hair perfectly flat, no frizz, and requires little work. The second is when you get ready for a big event and you hair is actually cooperating. You don't have to worry about finding an alternative hairstyle, because your hair just can't seem to get it together that night.

12. Handwritten Letters

Handwritten letters mean the most because it means someone took time out of their day to put the words they are feeling onto paper. These will always be my weakness.

13. The Feeling After A Major Workout

You just kicked butt during your workout and you feel healthy and free.

14. A Deep Conversation Late At Night

We all love the conversations during the night where you begin to totally understand someone, they open up to you, or you realize you can vibe with them on a whole new level. These conversations always mean the most, because you're prioritizing the person over sleep.

15. A Hug After A Rough Day

When you're overwhelmed, stressed, or just had an off-day, you're lying to yourself if a hug from a friend or significant other doesn't make you feel better for the time being.

16. Someone Playing With Your Hair

We don't know why this feels so good, but it just does.

17. Taking In A Picturesque View

Sometimes photos can't capture the feeling or beauty of a view unless you're truly there. You know in that moment that you will never forget it.

18. Telling A Story But Laughing So Hard You Can't Get Through It

https://www.pexels.com/photo/boy-child-countryside-cute-551568/

This happens to me all the time. I love when I try to tell a story, but I am laughing so hard that I can't seem to finish it. Funny moments make the world go round.

19. Hearing Your Pet's Footsteps When You Come Home

You close the door and hear your pet running toward you. Sometimes it's their feet against the hardwood floors or the noise of their collar when they walk, but either way we all have a soft spot for it.

20. Laying In Bed On A Rainy Day

https://www.pexels.com/photo/blur-cars-dew-drops-125510/

The rain is pounding against the window and you lay in bed with a bunch of blankets. Sometimes you just need to have lazy days where you watch movies in your comfy clothes.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
