Every fall, there are two flavors that everyone is not only expecting, but counting on. Although some things that have these two flavors may be sold year round, it's a pretty safe bet that most people only eat them during the fall season. Be aware that this is my comparison of common apple and pumpkin foods, and that everyone feels differently and has different tastes.
1. Apple Pie vs Pumpkin Pie.
Both of these pies are my absolute favorite pies. At any other point during the year, I'd probably prefer having apple pie over pumpkin pie. However, during the fall season I actually prefer having pumpkin pie. Thinking on it, I can't really give a reason as to why that is. And yes, I will admit that's a little strange. Based on taste though, both are absolutely delicious.
2. Apple Cider Drinks vs Pumpkin Spice Drinks.
Personally, I don't like either. To me, both seem to taste better cold, but I know many people that enjoy these drinks warm. For example, the always popular, much anticipated Pumpkin Spice Latte. Although, I would rather drink apple cider, I think a majority of people enjoy pumpkin spice drinks better.
3. Apple Cider Donuts vs Pumpkin Spice Donuts.
I absolutely love love love apple cider donuts. They're my second favorite type of donuts, after glazed donuts. I don't really enjoy pumpkin spice donuts much, and although I don't doubt that there are people who do, I can't think of anyone I know that loves them. Apple cider donuts are something I wish were around all year long. Thankfully for my health, they aren't.
4. Apple Cinnamon Waffles vs Pumpkin Spice Waffles.
I love both of these types of waffles. I just love waffles in general. However, I have to choose apple cinnamon waffles on this one. The reason is because most of the apple cinnamon waffles I've gotten come with apple chunks in them, and the cinnamon that's infused with it brings everything together so wonderfully. These waffles are best warm.
