I would like to announce with great excitement that Apple has created an updated version of the MacBook. From personal experience and opinion, the standard versions of the MacBook were beautiful and helpful inventions that were able to bless the majority of our generation of college students. Now, they are making the MacBook even better (as always).
The MacBook I received after high school graduation was the 15” Retina Display MacBook Pro. It has a variety of great features such as the LED black-lit retina display, about nine hours of battery life and up to 1TB of flash storage. And of course, it is also an amazing laptop to binge watch Netflix on, write essays, do research for classes and a plethora of other things.
The new MacBook has the same features as the laptop I am currently using but it is extremely unique and I will tell you why. The new MacBook is only 12” in width and weighs 2.46 lbs. less than the MacBook I currently own. Now, I know that it doesn’t seem to be much of an upgrade but here is why the new MacBook is a breakthrough in the world of technology: it is 12” in width, 2.03 lbs. in weight, has 10 hours of battery life and the same LED black-lit retina display. But how can a 12”2.03 lb. laptop have the same features as a 15” 4.49 lb. laptop?
The new MacBook is the first MacBook to be completely made of metal (except for the keyboard keys). It has a full size keyboard, the retina display is refined from the glass down to the pixels of the display, the battery’s construction was redesigned to lay in sheets in order to make the battery smaller and to last longer and the most impressive factor of the new MacBook is the elimination of a fan or any moving parts in the laptop which means you can work in complete silence.
All of these features fit into a thickness of 13.1 millimeters which is something that has never been done before. Not only this, but the new MacBook comes in a variety of classical colors including: Rose Gold, Gold, Silver and Space Gray. I will always be a supporter of the intelligent designs of Apple and all that they have accomplished to bring a sleek, beneficial product into our lives. Although I will be using the MacBook Pro I own for many more years to come, I look forward to watching Apple create more and more upgraded versions of all of their products.
